National Hepatitis C (State Acquired) Liaison Group

Liaison Officers were appointed to co-ordinate the primary care services provided under the Health (Amendment) Act 1996, and to provide a contact point for Hepatitis C patients and the support groups. The Liaison Officers are an important focal point between the primary care service providers and the service users. The liaison officers meet on a regular basis to ensure uniformity and continuity in the provision of primary health care services.
