Joint DoHC/HSE Working Group on Performance Information
The Joint DoHC/HSE Performance Information Group was established in 2008. It’s Terms of Reference of are as follows:
a. To map out existing information sources within the HSE and the Department in order to develop a shared understanding of current data availability in both organisations and avoid unnecessary duplication.
b. Agreeing arrangements that relevant information is readily accessible to both organisations.
c. Developing an agreed set of performance indicators that would meet the needs of HSE, DoHC and the Minister.
d. Expansion of analysis and intelligence in the use of the Casemix/HIPE data, including:
- The interface between primary and hospital care
- Differences in hospitals and the implications of these differences for efficiency
- Healthcare and the wider society
