The Minister for Health and Children, Micheál Martin T.D., his Department and the Health Boards are working on a major new plan "Health Strategy 2001". The purpose of this Strategy is to develop health and personal social services over the next 5-7 years to meet your health needs and the needs of your family.

This is an opportunity for change. You have a real opportunity to help shape the future and decide priorities.

We want to hear from members of the public, from organisations involved directly with health services, and from any group or organisation with a view about how we can best promote health and well being.

You can give your views in a number of ways and we have a consultation pack to help you. You can request a copy of the consultation pack "Your Views about Health" by writing to:
