Statement by Department of Health and Children

Following reports in the media this morning that files in relation to vaccine trials have gone 'missing', the Department would like to clarify that these files are not missing but, given that they relate to events some time ago, are not stored in the offices of the Department in Hawkins House but in a secure offsite storage facility.
The Depatment yesterday moved to retrieve these files. On their return, they will be examined and a full reponse issued to all enquiries.
