Press Statement - Minister Tim O´Malley

22 August 2003

Mr Tim O´Malley, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children, today, 22nd August, 2003, extended sympathy to the family of the man in the care of the North Western Health Board´s Mental Health Service who died tragically this week.

Minister O´Malley has asked the Inspector of Mental Hospitals, Dr Dermot Walsh, to examine all the circumstances surrounding the tragic death and make a full report to him as a matter of urgency.
