Callely addresses Independent Doctors Forum

The Independent Doctors Forum, a group of 400 private doctors from the UK, is holding their European Study Weekend in Dublin from 15-17th November in the Merrion Hotel, Dublin
The key note address will be given by Mr John Hume, MP, MEP, Nobel Laureate.
Members´ papers will discuss wide ranging topics in medicine and guest speakers include Dr Brian O´Doherty, GP speaking on "Primary Care Practice and Research in Ireland" and Mr John Clare, Managing Director, The Lions Den on "Medicine and the Media".
The highlight of the meeting on Sunday will be an address by Mr Ivor Callely, Minister of State, Department of Health and Children at 10.30am on "Challenges Facing Irish Healthcare"
Minister Callely speaking today (15 November) said "I very much welcome the IDF´s choice of Dublin this year and commend them on the quality and depth of the contributors to their programme. I want to particularly pay tribute to John Hume who addresses the meeting on Saturday who has indeed made a tremendous contribution to Irish life and society."
