National Day of Mourning

13 September 2001

Mr Micheál Martin, T.D., Minister for Health and Children wishes to outline the position regarding the provision of hospital services tomorrow, 14th September. Health Boards and hospitals have been advised that a full range of inpatient and outpatient services (both emergency and elective) should be provided where possible, to patients.

The Minister wishes to thank all health service employees and patients in advance for their co-operation on this national day of mourning in solidarity with our fellow citizens in the United States of America.
