Parliamentary Affairs
Responsibilities
- Provision of support to the Minister, Ministers of State and Secretary General for their attendance at the Committee of Public Accounts, the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health and Select Committees.
- Co-ordination of briefing material for officials and Ministers attending Senior Officials Group or Cabinet Committee on Health meetings.
- Liaison and co-ordination with the HSE in relation to the timely provision of information for Parliamentary Questions and other Oireachtas business.
- Monitoring of the HSE's response times to referred Parliamentary Questions and the compilation of statistical data on same.
- Line responsibility for staff management in the offices of the Minister, Ministers of State, and Secretary General’s office.
