Responsibilities
- Implementation of the Disability Act 2005
- Policy development relating to provision of services to people with disabilities
- Liaising with national representatives of voluntary agencies
- Continued development of information systems
- Litigation/Court cases
- Disability Allowances – Develop and monitor policy
- Training/Sheltered Work for people with disabilities
- Participation with Department of Education on implementation of Education for Persons with Special Educational Needs Act, 2004 and with Department of Justice in relation to Disability Act, 2005
- Young chronic sick
